Tips on Saving on Your Magaluf Vacation

Who said that a beach holiday in Majorca has to cost the earth? Visit Magaluf and know why this popular holiday destination is a favorite of travelers. We invite you to learn more about the best ways of making your savings count while having a fantastic time in this lively Mediterranean town.

Time it right

Consider travelling to Magaluf during the shoulder season (May, September, and October), when accommodation prices can drop by up to 50 per cent. You can also find fantastic flight deals during those months, and as a bonus, you’ll get to enjoy mild temperatures and avoid the crowds.

To and from the airport

Make sure you pre-book your airport parking spot online, as you could save up to 60 percent over the standard fees. Go online and search for discounted shuttle and taxi transfers from Majorca’s airport to Magaluf, as there are often discount codes available. Alternatively, you can jump on public buses 104, 106, or 107, which stop outside the airport’s car park and take you to Magaluf in approximately 1 hour. Single tickets start at 3€.

Eating out

Once in Magaluf, you will want to sample the delicious local cuisine. But can you do that without breaking the bank? You certainly can if you look for ‘menu del dia’ signs at bars and restaurants. This three-course menu (consisting of a starter like soup or salad, a main course, dessert / coffee, and often water or wine) is a popular option among locals and savvy tourists, as you can have a filling meal for less than 10€.

There is a large number of hotels and holiday resorts in Magaluf that have a swimming pool, but if you can do without a pool (and why wouldn’t you, considering that you can swim in the warm and crystal clear Mediterranean waters?), accommodation prices can drop by a whopping 40 per cent. Groups of four adults and over can save on accommodation by renting a villa or holiday home instead of separate hotel rooms.
